Easy Lab PRO RSV Test is a rapid lateral-flow, membrane based immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Respiratory Syncytial Virus. RSV is the most common cause of lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchiolitis and pneumonia among infants and young children. RSV can cause serious lower respiratory tract infections throughout life, especially among those with compromised respiratory, cardiac or immune systems.

Remove the test device from the protective pouch
and place it on a flat surface. Label the device with
patient or control identifications.
Dispense 3-4 drops (approximately 150µL) of the nasopharyngeal specimen into the round sample well (see illustration). Wait for colored lines to appear
RSV Antigen – Detects both strain types A & B
Read results after 15 minutes and no later than 25 minutes.
The test is negative if a colored line only appears in the C (control) area. The test is positive if one colored line appears in the C (control) area and one line appears in the T (test) area.
