Remove the strip from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible. Hold the end of the strip farthest away from the test pad and begin urinating.

After 2 seconds of passing urine--hold the strip downward with the test pad pointing into the urine stream for 2 seconds. If you prefer--urinate into a clean dry container and dip the test pad (of the strip) into the urine for 2 seconds and remove.

After removing the strip from your urine--immediately bring the edge of the strip into contact with an absorbent material (e.g. paper towel) to remove excess urine.

Lay the strip with the test pad facing upwards and begin timing

Positive Nitrite: Any degree of uniform pink to red color

Negative Nitrite: Pink spots or pink edges (not uniform) Positive Leukocytes: Any degree of uniform beige to dark purple Negative Leukocytes: beige/purple spots or beige/purple edges (not uniform)
